GLOBAL
TEACHERS
In the old Chinese proverb
they say:”Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”It is more worthwhile to teach someone to do something than
to do it for him.
To teach well we need not say all that we know,
only what is useful for the people to hear.
From the BIBLE verses: Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that
we who teach will be judged with greater strictness. For we all stumble in many
ways. And if anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able
also to bridle his whole body.
I remember clearly at my early age, when I
didn’t go to school, I imitated my elder sisters how they prepared their
lessons, how they retold their lessons at home. After going to school, I called
my neighborhood children and thought them like my teacher. When I was in the
primary school my teacher told me to help 3 of my classmates that couldn’t do
well at school. And they came to our house after the lessons. I taught them all
the subjects that we have at school and I did them like my teachers. Among the
teachers at school I had one teacher who taught me French (as we had only
French and Russian at school) I loved her much more than other teachers. There
is one saying:” If someone does the work with his hands he is only the worker
of his job. If someone uses his hands and his brain he is the master of his
work. And if someone uses his hands brain and his soul he is the craftsman of
his work. She used her hands, brain and heart while teaching. All the time I
did the same like she did. From that time I wished to be a good teacher, it
became my childhood wish. And at last my wish came true. In 1983 I entered
Azerbaijan State University of Foreign Languages. At the University I was
taught both French and English. I learned English as well as French.
I have been teaching my favorite subject ,
English for 25 years in my native village ,in my native school I do my best to make each lesson more interesting and to make
each lesson unforgettable for my students.
innovation.
“Education is our future
and the pimary field that defines our development perspectives.”tHE PERESIDENT
OF OUR rEPUBLIC i. aLIYEV SAID
Project-based learning is an example of innovation, but probably not
the way you'd expect. While learning through projects is indeed innovative
compared to sit-and-get, drill-and-kill, teacher-led and textbook-sourced
instruction, PBL's primary innovation is probably its flexibility. There's
almost no other learning trend or innovation than can not only co-exist with
PBL, but also fit seamlessly and entirely within it.PBL promotes innovation in
education by making room for it. But creating that innovation -- what does that
require? What kinds of ingredients can you put into the tin, shake up, and end
up with innovation?
When I say creative I don’t mean in the sense of
artistic even though some innovative educators fall in this category. I
mean creative in their thinking and approach. An innovative educator is
very uncomfortable with doing business as usual, especially when it yields no
result. So they go to work brainstorming ways to make things
better. They may change up a lesson to make it more engaging or increase
student motivation. They may adopt a more unconventional approach to handling
challenging students so as to develop a stronger rapport.
As a teacher I remember
getting into my classroom for the first time. I set up the space like
classrooms I had seen before and enjoyed; I got my lesson plans in order;
packed the filing cabinets with resources; started to make copies of overhead
slides; put together an area for reading and stacked the shelves with books I
had picked up in college or from my parents house.
Project method -
cognitive ability, the ability bases to own independent knowledge, critical
thinking also develop unique opportunities for higher-level thinking skills.
Training project
aimed at studying learning ans studing
english organized by Department of Education. 7th grade "Natural
Nature" project. We made announcement in different places of our village
and on the appointed time we planted seedlings in the different places of our
village where it is neccesary for the major
of the residents also took part in the project.
Project-based in learning English helps children apply it in
real life .It plays the role of a bridge
between the sociable life and class, according to the students what they have
learned in the classroom apply in real life situations, using the ability
communicate and learn language. "natural nature" is projects of AzETA as the preparation for INEPO projects. Currently, the education system to
take advantage of the cooperation between Europe and European higher education
program, which we are going to take in
the joined project.

CLASSROOM
ACHIEVEMENT
The modern education
system is moving at the high level that we could not catch it a year ago ,
it is obsoletely considered. Teachers
always have to work on their own search. With their work on the search they
want get sustainable development methods .Devolopmet of teachers is, more
avant-garde, more relevant, more intimate approach to the ways of working with
children.
Active learning
methods based on the cognitive skills that are necessary for independently
knowledge by the children. New interactive techniques through the
implementation of ICT in the right shape - the class divided into groups for
the purpose of the lesson, or in the method of choice for the purpose of the
lesson in the proper setting up stages results guaranteed the right purchase.
For example, my method envisages the
appropriation of the lesson as soon as possible.Zigzag method -the
students are divided into four. groups (The
main group). Students divided re-numbered groups. A new group of
students in each group the same numeric (expert group) created. The studing
text divided into groups and expert groups. Expert groups should read and
learn the content of the text then speak what they have learned back to
their former teams. I'm using
non-standard methods; photo story; find my mistake; the discussion to take
pictures of the objects; coordinate sentences with pictures; roll game; find
the difference; tap one to see ; unfinished story; interview; oral
presentations etc.
Standards
of age and psychological characteristics when choosing a teacher, as well as
takes into account the level of class. According to these standards, students'
knowledge and skills in mastering a certain norm. Then the issue of ensuring
the implementation of these standards define and set learning objectives. For
example, I realize this kind of lesson standards.
1.1Identifies new information in listened text.
2. Participate in dialogues of different topics.
3. Asks questions relevant to the content of the
text. Choose the text standards.Goals from them.
a) set out new words by listening to the text.
b) make up a dialogue with the new
words.
c) ask questions related to the text.
Bloom Taxanomy
improves logical, critical, creative thinking, developing preparing
assignments. Evaluation criteria are produced in according the standarts.
1.set new
words.
2.make a dialogue.
Most times when I use grammar-translation
method.
PPT presentation stage stimulate enthusiasm
for the subject. Teacher make new interests within such paintings, videos.
Practice for reach the goal of a large
number of tasks (written and oral) is an open problem. This is a complete
sentence .. .. fill the gap, find the difference .., the text includes
instructions to set up the type of students’ locigally, creative thinking.
Audio-visual method is more
interesting for students. I give them silent videos . Each student expresses
their opinion. It is releasing students ideas, not only the sound of video or viewing on the contrary, but also developing
their logical and critical overthinking
TPR of course, for over 25 years I
have physicaly appling this method. The method is applied to the lower classes,
listening comprehension and understand to motor responses or actions which
develop speech talking at the same time not only to teach students but also
escape from grueling “the sitting down” course that majority are doing.
As an innovative teacher I’m always searching the way how to make the
lesson the lesson more interesting. And I have a winner of each lesson as each
lesson looks like a competition Using E-recourses makes the lesson more
interesting. Each student has his (her) own task for each lesson. Because we
like to work on a project, make a presentation, create something new and make
mottos to defend environment write letters to our Nature, motherland,
president, school director, mother, father, brother that joined the Army. Every
year I have some students that take the first place of the Olympics
Hundreds of my students have graduated from different Universities of
Azerbaijan at the same time the Universities of foreign countries. Two of them
are working at the Technical and Pedagogical Universities as doctors of
sciences. One of my students was the winner of the FLEX testing program As an
innovative teacher I’m always searching the way how to make the lesson the

DEVELOPING GLOBAL CITIZENS.
The 21st century has presented us with new opportunities and challenges
and requires a different approach to education. In our fast-changing world, it
is necessary for children and young people to acquire the knowledge, skills,
values and attitudes to adapt and to thrive. Their education should prepare
them for living and working in a global society. The big issues affecting our
planet, such as climate change and global poverty, require an innovative
generation that knows how to find solutions. Our democratic societies need
creative people who recognize the importance and value of participation and
making their voices heard.
For many primary schools, school linking partnerships are an important
part of citizenship education providing the opportunity for pupils to engage
with the wider global community and learn about important real life issues that
affect them and other people Developing confidence and responsibility and
making the most of their abilities, preparing to play an active role as
citizens, developing a healthy, safer lifestyle
developing good relationships and respecting the differences between people.
Our country has adopted new
educational laws. All the subjects integrated one another and the life. Now
teachers try to teach children in many ways but the aim are unique-to grow a
wise generation. A smart person makes mistakes and while correcting hid before
this. But one evaluates the occurrences beforehand, synthesizes them, and
creates a new in a life careful not to repeat the mistakes.
My
three competencies for effective teaching may include: 1. Like all your
students such that positive relationships develop. 2. Be solution focused,
positive and enthusiastic, developing student abilities, confidence and
strengths, not deficit focused and working out why students can't, won’t learn.
(You often end up with what you expect) 3. Be flexible and interesting in
teaching and assessing outcomes. If I was allowed a fourth, it would include
creating student focused success criteria so that students can set achievable
goals, gauge their targets and set their own levels of self management and
boys, in particular, know when they have met with success and receive from the
teacher contingent praise..
