                                          OUTLİNE OF THE LESSON.
VII sinif
Topic: Travelling
Standards: 2.1.1.   uses speech pattens in dialogues;
1.1.2        reads the text with relevant tone, rhythm and interval ;
4.1.1 expresses his/her opinion on the given topic in the written form;
Aims : - vocabulary study;
            -reading skills developing;
            -oral speech habits developing;

Work form: group work

Methods : klaster, questioning, brainstorming, discussion.

Resources: computer, handouts, pictures , slides.


Motivation: Let’s try to guess the topic of the lesson. If you complete the crossword correctly, you will be able
                     to name the topic of  the lesson.
1.      You buy it, if you want to go by bus or plane, or if you go to the cinema or theatre (ticket).
2.      It is a place where there are a lot of planes (airport).
3.      What do the monkeys like to eat ?(bananas).
4.      Tomatoes, potatoes are … (vegetables).
5.      It is the number between 7 and 9 (eight).
6.      We usually put a slice of it into a cup of tea (lemon).
7.      A toy construction consisting of coloured bricks (lego).
8.      This is the children’s favourite food (ice-cream).
9.      Some people are afraid to fly, they enjoy travelling by … (train).
10.  Football, tennis are … (games).
(TRAVELLING)

Vocabulary Study : ship, underground, car, train, plane, by car, by coach,by sea,on foot.
                                   The Ss use the new words in sentences.

Work forms : questioning and klaster.

·         Do you like travelling?
·         Where would you like to travel?
·         Why do people travel to foreign countries?

Travelling:
  -  to get high education;
                  -  to visit relatives;
                 -  to meet new friends;
                 -  to go sightseeing;
                 -  on business;
                 - to have a rest;

Problem situation: Why do some Azeri people leave for other countries?

                                                      On business

Group work: 4 groups should answer the questions commenting the situation, confirming their 
                        conclusions , and make  their presentation.      
Reading comprehention: ‘Travel Wisely, Travel Well’.

The suggested exersices to check comprehention : True/False; Question-Answer; Choose the correct
 answer; Fill in the … so on.
 
General conclusion : The teacher summorise the discussed topic. Focus on the main features of the topic.

The aims :    -    to recognise the animals;
-          To demonstrate the skills of building communication on the topic;
-          To describe animals,cases and situations using the words learnt.

Integration:  Nature study, PT, Art.
Resources : textbook, slides, pictures, coloured pencils etc.
Work form : group work
Methods: brainstorming, word associassion, Venn diagram, discussion.

Warm up : Can a dog run?  Can a dog speak?  Do you like animals? Have you got a pet?
                    What types of living beings are there on the Earth?
                   What kinds of animals do you know?Where do we hear their names a lot?:
                   Jungle, field,yard,garden,forest,salary,farm,home etc.

Research: group work. The teacher asks Ss to use the pictures and fulfil the task.
Group 1: Sort the animals into categories (mammals, birds, fish, insects). Write their names on the 
                   handout.
Group 2: List  the animals with 2 and 4 legs, big and small animals.
Group 3: Write about likes and dislikes of the animals.

Generalization. The teacher can use Venn diagram to conclude the Ss’ work.
